PLS Installations Inc. is a small construction
firm located in Buchanan, Virginia.
We were established in 2004. Throughout the years, PLS has been involved in virtually all phases of residential construction and remodeling, but has always focused on one or two niche markets. Being small and specialized has allowed us to rapidly adapt to peoples’ wants and needs as the economy changed. In 2008 our two main focal points were log home restoration and sunroom installation. As the new economy started to take hold, peoples’ priorities immediately changed. We saw that people were less willing to spend money on luxury items such as sunroom additions and more likely to invest in items that would improve their home's efficiency and comfort. For this reason, we decided to actively pursue work in the home performance industry.
Since 2009, PLS Installations Inc. has taken great strides to train and educate their field staff in the proper techniques of safely and effectively implementing cost effective home performance improvements. I myself, one of the company owners, have successfully completed BPI (Building Performance Institute) Building Analyst training. This certifies me to perform an energy audit on your home. This enables us to pinpoint key areas in your home that need attention in order to increase overall performance. We have also become an EPA lead safe certified firm. This allows us to safely work on your home in the presence of lead paint. Education is very important to us. We are members of several professional organizations and are constantly seeking opportunities to enhance our skills and knowledge.
We will take a look at all of your homes different components and evaluate how they perform as a system. Every part of your home, such as the heating and air system, the insulation, the lighting, the windows and thermal boundary all must work together as a system in order for your home to operate at its optimal level. We possess the tools and knowledge to evaluate these different components and come up with a custom game plan to effectively increase your homes comfort, safety, health, durability and efficiency.
